I have a Linksys WRT54G router. Laptop has excellent
connection to network but I cannot get on the internet.
IE "Page not found" and "No network connection found"
errors are displayed. (I can browse via a wired connection
but wireless won't let me.) Can anyone kindly help me to
set this up? Thanks

Try using the network connection wizard to setup up a LAN. Select the wireless network.
I haven't figured out (yet!) how to automate this

if you compare the ip address of the wireless laptop that
can't browse, to the hardwired desktop that can browse,
are they on the same network (subnet mask the same) ip
address one or two numbers away? 192.168.1.100 and
192.168.1.101 or something like that? an easy way to find
out is to open up a command prompt (or go to "run" and
type "cmd" and hit [enter]) then type "ipconfig /all" (do
this on each machine). compare the results of both
machines and if they are on the same network something's
jacked up. reset the router to it's defaults by holding
in the reset button until the lights go out and then start
blinking all wild and stuff (usually a little over 10
seconds). once it all settles down, reboot both machines
and make sure you are connecting your laptop to the
correct wireless connection and not the connection of a
nearby neighbor. the default settings of the WRT54G should
let both the wireless connection and desktop connection
get right online. if you still have problems after a
reset, then connect to the router (192.168.1.1 in the web
browser of your hardwired computer - user name is blank,
password is "admin") go to status and check the router's
ip address to make sure that it is getting the ip address
from your isp and not from your desktop. you might have
things plugged in backwards and have internet connection
sharing enabled which could make your hardwired connection
into a dhcp server and somehow provide an ip address to
the router making it look like the router is online and
the desktop can still browse, but for some craked up
reason the laptop can't. i don't know... use
www.microsoft.com/technet and www.linksys.com brother.
the answers are out there... usually.
