I have a 3 computer XP wireless network connected by a
Linksys router w/cable modem. Everything was running
fine. Connection
now is intermittent and or slow. Also signal strength
drops.

Also,
Do have have to enable WEP?

Hi,

You may be experiencing wireless interference from other 2.4GHz devices such
as 2.4GHz cordless phones, video receivers and such.
Try changing the wireless channel to different channels on your linksys
wireless access point.

If you enable WEP, you'll enable a level of security, however this security
isn't entirely secure and a determined hacker can still get into your
network. But it will deter the less techie person from accessing your
network.

WEP only protects data that is transmitted over the radio frequency. It has
nothing to do with people accessing your network.
