Hello!
I'm a novice at this kind of stuff, just a warning. I have been using
a D-Link DI-624 router for about a year without any problems. My WinXP
Pro desktop is plugged directly into it. As for wireless, I was
connecting with my laptop (with a D-Link Airplus Extreme G cardbus
adapter) as well as the XBOX (with the Microsoft XBOX wireless card)
without any problems at all. I basically plugged the card into the
laptop and it worked.
I unplugged my computer for less than 12 hours (I got a new desk) and
when I tried to hook everything back up, the wireless part of the
router no longer works. I can get online with the desktop (plugged
into the router), but neither wireless connection works.
I'm not even really sure what to check. When I go to Network
Connections on the desktop, it says that the DSL Connection listed
under "Broadband" is disconnected (and says WAN Miniport PPPoE.
(Although I can get online)
