Wireless Peer to Peer Network

Dave

I just set up a wireless network with a Windows 2000 Pro
Desktop and a Windows 2000 Pro Laptop. The desktop is
connected directly to the Router. The Desktop only has the
Administrator account, with no password. The Laptop logs
in with a named user account, with Administrator
privledges.

I wish to share folders and a printer.

Fron the Desktop, I can see the Laptop in My Network
places, and log in using the username and password from
the Laptop, However, when I try to do the reverse, I can
see the Desktop from My Network Places on the Laptop, but
can not log in. I have tried every possible password and
username combo, but am can not gain access. I tried using
Administrator, I tried using guest. I even created a new
user and password on the Desktop, and tried logging into
that from the Laptop. No dice.

Any suggestions???

Try creating an account on the desktop that matches username/password to
what you use on your laptop. Then try and access resources using that
account. That will hopefully get you further along. :)

Hi,

I did try that, I still can not get through. Again, its
strange, but The Desktop can log into the Laptop, using
the Laptop's username and password, but not the other way
around. The Laptop can see the Desktop, but can not
access the folders. I tried creating an account, and
still can ot get in.

Thanks
