Wireless Network Tab disappeard

I have 2 identical IBM T40's with an Intel PRO/Wireless
LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter, driver version 1.2.0.56.
On one of the computers the Wireless Network Tab is
visable in the properties of the wireless connection and
on the other it is not. Any ideas how to get it to
reappear?

Thanks

The Wireless Networks tab only appears for wireless
adapters that support the WZC service. This would be
listed in the services.msc. Click Start, Run, and
type "services.msc". Open services and scroll down to
Wireless Zero Configuration Service, Start the service
and set it to automatic.

The WZC service is set to automatic and was started. I
stopped it and then started it, rebooted and still no
tab. Hmmmmmmm?

I suggest try reinstalling the wireless network card and
see if that brings the tab back. It is a function of the
NIC to enable it. If it doesn't, then try the WPA update
and download and install the latest XP-compatible driver
from the manufacturer's web site. Don't install the WPA
unless you plan on using it though.

I tried re-installing and the same thing occurs. I am
sure there is a registry tweak that is causing it be be
hidden.
