Wireless network - problem

Sometimes it happens that the wirless icon is missing. After a couple of
re-start the icon appears again. Laptop is used for schoolwork/in classes,
and I need access to wireless all the time. The information "Show available
network" doesn't appear and not the wirless icon either. I do not have a
geneal icon for internett access. Is this the problem? I have alo checked
drive update on wireles network. I'm running XP

Thanks in advance for any response to this issue....

Hi rjn,

What is your Brand of Network Adapter that you are using? Which version
of XP are you running? Have you checked the Wireless Network Connection
Properties and checked both Show icon in notification area when connected
and Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity?
