Wireless network icon

In Network Connections the wireless networks icon is gone...it also is not
displayed on the task bar. I can't find a way to view available wireless
networks. All links have disappeared. Any suggestions.

Sometimes a Wireless card will come with a Control program. If
this program assumes/takes control of Wireless connections, it will
disable the native Wireless control. Open Network Connections &
Right Click your Wireless Icon, take properties. Usually, there will
be a Wireless (TAB) - from here you can toggle a setting to "Let
Windows Manage Wireless".
