Wireless Network crashed after Critical Updates downloaded

I have seen many posts reporting this problem but no consistant solution been offered and none have worked for me (eg. turn off firewall, turn on file sharing, manually create Network Places, enable WEP, Restore to prior config, etc).

I have 2 Dell laptops (5100 and 8600) and 2 Dell desktops (4100 and 4300). The 4300 is hardwired to a "g" wireless router. The others are connected via Dell 1300 adaptors.it was time to try again

I have been hesitant to download Critical Updates because of prior problems with them. However, I decided to try again and download everything on the MS update page onto the 5100. That computer immediately dropped of the network and none of the solutions offered on this forum has brought it back. This includes System Restore which had all prior Checkpoints wiped out (I think this happened concurrent with the download too, but can't swear to it).

The 5100 has Internet access but cannot see (nor be seen by) the other computers on the network. When any attempt is made to connect to the network, an error message stating that the network is not accessible and that I don't have permission to use this "resource".

The above is just background. What follows is the results of a Network Diagnostics run on the 5100. Hopefully, this level of detail will allow an MVP or other techie to provide a clear solution that others with this problem will be able to reference in the future.

I can't help, but both pop and smtpauth aren't set up to answer pings. I
use them successfully for email all the time and I can't ping them either.

I forgot to mention that all of the computers are running XP Pro SP1 (except the 5100 which has all of current Updates).
