Wireless logins

I have a home network with a domain controller. My laptop
has a wireless NIC in it. When I log in I'm authenticated
but home drives, profiles and the login script do not
work. I think this is due to the fact that when I first
log in I'm not actually connected via the NIC. After a
minute or less the connection is made and I can get on the
Internet or connect to the drives I would like to map
during log in. Is there a way that the wireless
connection can be made before I log in?

If you set up 802.1x authentication with IAS on the domain controller;
And set up the necessary certificates;
( As a minimum, the IAS server needs a certificate which the client can
verify. )
Then it ought to be possible for the machine account to authenticate against
IAS prior to user logon and then the WAP will grant access, and the usual
DHCP and other machine-specific network tasks to complete prior to user
logon.
Of course, you need an access point which supports 802.1x / RADIUS.
These are normally more expensive.

If you are not using 802.1x, then I don't know!

I have a Dlink 614+. What do you think the chances of
this working with this router are?
