Wireless Intellimouse Explorer USB

After attatching Wireless Intellimouse Explorer USB to my
laptop, I have experienced problems with Windows failing
to shutdown correctly.

When I remove the Intellimouse it shuts down fine.

I think it may be a driver conflict with the onboard
Synaptics touchpad.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
How to disable the touchpad for instance (tried in the
BIOS but there are no settings there)

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion but I have the latest service
pack which it suggests and it still hangs on shutdown

Any other ideas from anyone would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

See if there is a bios update for your laptop. Your problem may be a USB
problem that is fixed in a bios update (seeing as your mouse is connected to
the USB port)
