My wireless mouse won't let my windows xp home computer shutdown or reboot properly it just hangs on the windows shutdown screen. I have to hold the power button in to shut it down. When i plug in my wired mouse in to the mouse port the computer shuts down fine. The wireless mouse is plugged into my usb port

Hi,

Since you are using a wireless mouse, you must be having a PS2 plug, Use it since you are leaving it idle and it cant be used for anything else. Use the USB Ports for other items.

Even i am using Microsoft Wireless Explorer and it works perfectly without giving problems. It is attached to the PS2 port.
