Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0

On XP Pro SP 2, running with Microsoft Update. Working system with a Logitech
USB already installed.

Intellipoint 5.0 installed fine, Wireless tab says Battery Good/Signal
quality High, but mouse pointer doesn't move.

Troubleshooting anywhere doesn't help.

Intellipoint 5.2 doesn't help.

Is the best I can do is to go back to 4.2? I was interested in the sideways
scroll - will 4.2 give me that?

Thanks!

Sideways scroll is only available in versions 5.x and only for the mice that
allows sideways scroll.

Have you tried ti find version 5.4, which came out last week? I located it
on www.betanews.com.

Thanks Yves.

Yes, I installed Intellipoint 5.4, no response.

And then I pushed the connect button and it sync'd up with the base and
started working.

Ummm. So I'm the stupid person (that's how I feel) for not realizing the
connect was the trick.

BUT, unlike my other (small) "Wireless OPtical Mouse (3" long baby), the
Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 is ON with laser active, even before it is
"connected". So I thought it was WORKING even though it hadn't sync'd up.
And the IntelliMouse software tells me Wireless mouse battye level is "good"
and Wireless Mouse Signal quality is "high". And Troubleshoot is disabled.
Still.

Doesn't the IntelliMouse team have a clue? No signals from this mouse, then
Troubleshoot with "Try pushing the Connect or ID button." hint # 1?

Thanks.
