Wireless Home Networking SP2 problem

J

Jim McColl

I have a Windows XP-home desktop computer, networked via
an SMC Barricade broadband wireless router with a laptop
running W98SE.

Before installing SP2, file and printer sharing worked
just fine. After installing SP2, the two computers do not
see each other. I have tried a bunch of things including
turning the firewall off, but no luck so far. Both
computers connect to the Internet okay and I can ping
each computer from the other computer.

Currently I have the firewall turned on and file and
printer sharing checked as exceptions. I have
TCP ports 139 and 445 unblocked with scope of subnet.

I would be grateful for any suggestion of how I can
restore file and printer shring on my network
