Hi,

Check to see if your Wireless Zero Configuration service is started.
To do this go to your Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services

When the Services window opens up scroll down to the Wireless Zero
Configuration and set it to Automatic Startup and then hit the Start button.
Then hit Ok and then go to your Wireless Network Connection and see if your
computer detects your wireless network.

Hi,
I tried what you stated and still no good. this is really
weird. Still the message "Wireless connection not
available" Everything points that it should work. I
cannot see any other wireless networks. I know there is
one besides mine that I saw before the upgrade. Wireless
Zero Config Serv. says "Started/Automatic". Any other
suggestiosn wouold be helpful. I hate to think I will
have start over with Mullenium and xp pro upgrade to make
it work. thx. -db-

I got the exact same problem (no wireless connection after XP Pr
Installation). I also have tried what you suggested (start/restar
Wireless Zero Config Serv" and it does not help at all. I also stoppe
the server, then restarted it as well. Nothing is helping at all.
didn't see any other suggestions in other responses. Anything else
should try at this point?

Hello
I too had the same problem using XP pro with the WMP54G PCI wireless adapter. However I didn't have any trouble until after I enabled XP Automatic Updates. My quick fix for up and running wireless connection: Did a windows XP system restore and disabled automatic updates...at least for now the wireless signal gets detected. Try reintalling XP pro, but without all the internet updates and good luck.
