Wireless connection fails with large download

Brand new Dell inspiron e1505

successfully connected to LinkSys wireless router

I am posting from it now, no prob

I go to download large file (about 200-300 MB) and the connection
drops, ruins the wireless network detection and I have to repair and
sometimes that doesnt work either. it then becomes a waiting game.

what do you thinks happening?

Have you checked with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) on settings
for large downloads? Downloads from email attachments are limited
from 10 to 16Mb, but larger downloads such as videos or music can be
accomplished from websites depending on your settings. Your system
may be set to the default limit of 127Mb. Current file size limits are 2Gb.

I forgot to add, to make sure you have WindowsXP SP2 installed. If not,
Order Windows XP Service Pack 2 on CD (it is FREE)
