wireless card and device manager

I have installed a new DLink wireless card and my device manager will not
show it. I cannot figure out what is going on. Is there any way that the
PCI slots can be "refreshed" if they are expecting a previous wireless card
or audio card. Are they set to expect certain cards (do they preserve a
memory configuration)?

Getting frustrated.

Hi,

Check the system BIOS to see if that slot is a) enabled and b) that the
device is detected there. If not, you may need to reseat or move it to
another available slot. I would recommend that you not use the slot next to
the AGP slot.
