One computer on a wired network of three cannot be accessed. ( XP PRO) It
shows up on the other two computers when I click "show workgroup computers"
but when I click "show workgroup computers" on the inaccesible computer
nothing shows up.
The inaccessible computer is using the NTFS file system, and the other two
are using FAT32. Is this causing the problem? When I run the network
diagnostics utility the network adaptor fails the "ip address" section of the
test although I can still access the internet via this computer. I have
enabled file and print sharing on this computer of course.
When I click on this workgroup computer from one of the other computers (
under show workgroup computers) I get a message that says:
\\Bob is not accessible You might not have permissions to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permissions. The network path was not found.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
