Wired ethernet VERY slow off domain

Hello! Recently I had to rebuild my laptop from scratch. I used a fresh
install of Windows XP SP2. I have reinstalled everything and things at work
are running very well. However, when I take my laptop home I have severely
slow network response when using my wired ethernet. The wierd thing is, if I
use my wireless card it is as fast as it should be. When I say slow, I am
referring to anything network related, both internet and internal to my home
network. I have tried other computers on the same cable, switch, and port
and cannot reproduce the problem. Conversely, if I plug my laptop into any
other port on my network I still get this slowdown issue. I think it has
SOMETHING to do with my domain membership, but I still don't understand why
the slowness is only with the wired connection and not the wireless. Any
help you guys can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.

Check the settings for DNS, DHCP, etc. between the wired and wireless
network cards and I'll bet that the DNS is improperly configured on the
wired card.

Thanks for your response! I thought DNS would be the issue as well, but
doing an ipconfig /all shows that the addresses are exactly the same for both
interfaces. Here are the outputs:

Looks reasonable. Unfortunately I'm out of reasonable responses - maybe
someone else has a thought on this.

Check the NIC properties. Usually for Cat5 cabling (wired) you will see
either auto-detect link speed OR 100 MBPS/Full Duplex. Which setting is
correct for your work and home networks, I can't tell you but I can tell you
that a mismatch will cause huge slowdowns. For example, if your laptop is
set to match the company network, and it says 100MB/Full, it will be happy
when you are at the office and plugged into a switch which is also set for
100/Full. But when you get it home and your home equipment is set to Auto
Detect Link Speed, it will crawl. I would NOT recommend changing this unless
you want to change it back and forth when you change locations but you may
be able to talk the IT guys/Comms guys at your office to changing your drop
so the laptop will use the same settings in the office and not at home.

To find this locate your network connection, go to the Properties, and where
the NIC name shows up, there'll be an advanced button, configure, something
along those lines--- it'll change with the manufacturer--- but in those
advanced properties, look for Link Speed and Duplex. Compare it to the other
computers at home and work...

I have it set to auto, and have tried hard setting to 100 full as well. Same
results, but thank you for the suggestion.
