Do you think my PC configuration is enough for Win XP
prof.

I have installed Windows XP Professional edition. I have
pentium III 300 MHz. with 384MB Ram. 20 GB HDD.

My Computer is vwery slow. It takes a seconds to even
display the my computer screen. Starting and shutting
takes more than 3 minutes.

I suspect it is due to my processor.

I would like to know the cause for this. else


Do you know why my computer is slow. i can try out any
other options before i clean up.


If it is ok i will skip the installaton of win 2000

300 MHz for XP would be really lousy. I ran a 350 for NT4, and that was
just OK. XP uses a hell of a lot more resources than NT. 384 MG of RAM is
decent, but in my opinion, your processor is too weak for XP.

I think i should install windows 2000. But hte problem is
i need to format my C drive to install 2k.

Thinking of options to avoid it.
