Ok maybe I am doing something wrong but this is how I have always
created my "default user" profile on my \\dc\netlogon share .
I create a new user lets call it bjones, I login with that user on a
newly loaded workstation and configure everything how I want
(printers, desktop/start menu options etc). I then copy bjones
profile to \\dc\netlogon\bjones , rename the \\dc\netlogon\default
user to \\dc\netlogon\default user.old and then rename
\\dc\netlogon\bjones to \\dc\netlogon\default user.
This has alwas worked flawlessly .. however now that i have some xp
workstation, any user who gets a new profile on these xp machines
their desktop is pointing to c:\documents and settings\bjones\desktop
?!?! Why ?? This doesn't happen on the NT4 or W2K clients ? How else
can i create a good default profile ?
