WinXP System Restore won't Run

I purchased and installled WinXP in Jan 2003. I
successfully did a system restore a few months ago when I
ran into some problems. This time MS Explorer won't run so
I can't do security updates. The last successful run was on
8 Dec 3003. Now, System Restore won't run either. All I can
do online in WinXP with this is to send error reports.Just
as well I have Netscape and Linux installed...


As for WinXP, is there a work around, or is the best thing
to do a complete reinstallation?

If those do not help, what is the exact error message you get when trying
to run System Restore?
