WinXP Pro Q329256 IEEE 1394a

I use Chinese Version of WindowsXP and an external Hard
Disk with IEEE 1394 Box, it works perfectly at first but
later just can't detect the sam Hard Disk; I then
downloaded the above captioned Patch but it says : It
doesn't support the version of such language.
What shall I do to rectify the problem please ?
