WinXP network browsing problems

I have two computers both running on Windows XP Home. The first one,
which is named "computer", can access the second one, named "laptop",
without a problem. The laptop sees the computer in Network Places, but
cannot browse it's resources. It gives an error message "\\computer is
not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
ressource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you
have permissions. Access is denied.". If I try to use the net view
\\computer command, i get error "System error 5 has occured. Access is
denied".

I still managed to get to the ressources I needed. I had to map
directly to the shared drive "net use z: \\computer\shared". I was even
able to connect the printer. But I'd really like to be able to browse
the ressources. Both have proper permissions.
