WinXP Home: Can't Apply Changes to Desktop BG.

I have WinXP Home. When I use my Main account that has Administrator
privileges, the changes I make to my Desktop BG does not appear.

I can see the Preview Image has changed in the Desktop Control Panel has
changed, but on the DeskTop itself, no changes have been made.

Also, I notice that the Desktop refresh is slow. For example, when I drag a
large window around the screen, I can see the screen refreshing itself at a
very slow rate.

However...when I changed to my less used Account that has Local privileges,
the Display functions normally. I can change the Desktop Back Ground Image,
and it changes immediately. Also, when I drag a window around, there is no
delay in the screen refresh. It's immediate.

Can someone please help me why my Main Account is having problems?

Nevermind...I found the problem. I unchecked the Lock Desktop Items checkbox.
