i am having trouble with installing winXP on my new computer that is set up
with sata RAID 0. i tried to use the F6 pre-installation method with a floppy
that has the intel app.acc. driver files but then i got the following error:

file iaStor.sys caused an unexpected error (4104) at line 2108 in
d:\xpsp1\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.
press any key to continue

how can i remedy this situation?

Did you build this machine yourself or buy it from a shop fully assembled.

If you built it yourself, you may need to go back to the MOBO supplier and
ask for their assistance.

If you bought it fully assembled, then call them and ask for instructions on
how it should be set up in BIOS for SATA as per your configuration and
intended use.

There are so many SATA drives and again many SATA controllers [both on board
the Mobo and on separate PCI plug in adapters] that it is very difficult to
say exactly what you should do; especially when you haven't provided this
detail in your posting.

You shouldn't be trying to install the Intel
Application Accelerator. There should be a
RAID driver on the motherboard CD (or the
manufacturers web site) that you put onto the
floppy. For example, for my Asus motherboard
on the CD there is a Drivers\VIARAID\Driverdisk
folder with a readme and a utility to make a
driver floppy.
