You probably made a mistake while slipstreaming SP2.
Boot the machine with your original WinXP CD and
install SP2 later on.

First, ensure the boot sequencing has the Optical drive before the
hard drive in BIOS setup. Also, Slipstreaming requires a specific
Load Segment and Boot Sector count for the disk to boot. If not
set correctly the disk will appear to be burned correctly, but will
not be bootable. Which burning application did you use to create
the slipstreamed disk ?

Hello,
Some burning software needs to be set-up to make a cd bootable, it is not a
default setting.
Check to see if the software you used needs this setting checked.
Make sure that the BIOS is set for the cd being first in the boot order.
Inspect the Motherboard manual to find how to access the BIOS, in many cases
it is the "delete key", pressed before Windows loads.
take care.

Locate, download and use Autostreamer. This utility will help with
slipstreamimg and making the CD bootable. It creates an ISO image file that
most third party CD writing tools can burn to CD.

Thanks for reminding me about Autostreamer
I had tried it before but it never seemed to finish the job
So. I tried it again and noticed the 'make Iso' button became active,
pressed it and the job completed.
I now have a bootable WINXP-SP2 CD
