WinXP and Win2003 peer-to-peer

Hello,
I have internet connection issues on my network.
My network is 1 WinXP and 1 Win2k3 set up through a D-Link router to a cable modem with a 3.0/768 connection.
I will loose the ability to connect to websites, mail servers, news server, etc. It seems to be an outgoing connection trouble, as I can have a download going on and it never falters, or even slows. This only happens when both my computers are running, and only when I have one running XP and one running 2k3. I have tried 2k3/Linux, 2k3/2k3, and XP/XP combinations as well and had no trouble.

I wonder if there is some setting in my 2k3 computer that is preventing the internet access.

Odd question, just trying to understand, but you didn't by chance make
the 2k3 machine a domain controller for a domain did you?

Actually I finally found out what was causing the trouble. Windows 2k3 was registering my nic as a Realtek when it is really a D-Link.
I don't know why this caused issues with all the computers attached to the network and not just the one it was installed in, but ever since I installed the correct drivers I have not had any more trouble.

Matt, thanks for reading the post an offering help.
