Winword.exe child of svchost (DCom Server Process Launcher, Terminal Service)

On my xp system, I found a winword.exe is running as child process of
svchost (DCom Server Process Launcher, Terminal Service).

What can it be doing? Is it a normal behavior? Or is it possibly a
virus?

It is started with "%MSOFFICE%\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXE" -Embedding. It
looks like it's started when the system is booted or quite soon after
booting. (The oldest thread is now running for 2.5 hours, my system is
booted 3 hours ago.)

What can this winword possibly doing?

TIA

Just after posting this, I found that the process vanishes when I
close outlook application.
