WinUpdates Not Working

When go to WinUpdates, nothing starts e.g. scan.
No error messages. Also, except for Get Help & Support
and About Windows Updates, other links are greyed out.
Have checked the troubleshooting site saw in previous
posts and didn't help. Using XP Pro and no other
problems. Any further ideas appreciated.

Thanks for replies and links. None worked however, but
eventually discovered if disabled NAV & NIS 2003, which
didn't have to do previously, WinUpdates worked ok. Uninstalled
and reinstalled both programs, and for reasons unknown, Update
site now working as should with both anti-virus & security enabled.
