Hello,

There used to be a winpopup.exe available for win98 which we find quite
useful and simple to use. Now that we have all upgraded to Win xp pro, is
there any replacement for the winpopup?

Native to XP you use the NET SEND command at the command prompt.

e.g. c:\>net send <username> This is a message.

type NET SEND /? for a complete list of options.

You can use Net Send at the command line (for help on using it,
type Net send /?). There are also several third-party
alternatives that work in a window. I use a little freeware app
called NetHail
