Winlogon.exe file using 99%CPU

Abe

Soon after starting my computer (maybe 3 minutes), some
file called "winlogon.exe" brings my computer to a hault
by taking 99% cpu. It only goes back to 0% cpu after
reaching 330,000k memory usage. Then everything functions
as usual. The lock-up usually lasts about 20 minutes. Is
my "winlogon.exe" file infected with a virus? What can I
do about it? Its the only file going crazy in my
TaskManager. Please help.

What I've done so far:
1)Scanned for viruses with Symantec, and TrendMicro
2)Searched my computer for winlogon.exe files and found 3
extra ones not inside system folder (so I deleted them).
3)Defragged both drives.

I just realized that the problem only seems to occur when
I have a password in my user name. I just removed the
password to my user name and now the winlogon.exe is
acting normal.
