Winlogon causes Explorer.exe to restarts

Hi!
I'm having a problem with Explorer.exe.
Everytime I click on the "My Computer" Icon in my Desktop
or from the Start Menu, explorer.exe restarts. However,
If I right-click on the icon or on "Start" and
select "Explore" Explorer.exe start just fine.
I get the following application event:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: Winlogon
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1002
Date: 8/27/2003
Time: 3:08:51 PM
User: N/A
Computer: CRISTINA
Description:
The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was
restarted.

Are you running XP? You seem to have different options when you click start!
