winipcfg utility

I just got a new WinXP computer. In my old Win98 computer, I can run a
built-in utility called "winipcfg" to check my network connections.

I can't find winipcfg in WinXP. Is there an equivalent utility?

Open a command prompt window and key in:
ipconfig
<ENTER>

if you key in:
ipconfig /?
you will get a listing of switches that can be used with that command

Alternatively, Run CMD /K IPCONFIG/ALL | FIND/V "Description" | FIND "."

Try it; you'll like it.

Thanks Bob. That takes care of opening the command window for me and will
allow me to set up a shortcut. Very useful.

Do a search for wntipcfg.exe.
