I recently installed a LITEON DVD Burner (Mdl SHM 165P6S) on my PIII 500MHz
machine. No when my PC runs, it encounters a problem which causes Windows to
sutdown with the following message
"WindrvNT.Sys...PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and proceeds to dump physical
memory to disk. Problem seems to occur randomly.
In the last episode and after Windows had taken a physical dump of memory,
it rebooted itself. When I logged on, I got a Windows Error Report pop-up.
When I looked at the error report it had the following:
BCCode50 BCP1:F881c188 BCP2 00000000 BCP3 F891D14F
BCP4 00000000 OSVER 5_1_2600 SP 2_0 PRODUCT 256_1
Can anyone shen some light on the cause of the problem and a fix? Is it
related to the hardware I installed?
