WindowsXP Home/Works Suite 2000/Paint

Perhaps this message might get through for the third time
of trying.
I installed XP in September 2003 and it works fine - except
for Paint. By about November Paint ceased to open. All I
get is a message saying {paraphrased]" Paint has found a
problem and will close down....Tell microsoft about this
problem..etc..etc".There are no reference numbers to
recognise the type of error/problem. It could have occurred
after I attempted to install software for a Mustek600
scanner. A message told me at the time NOT to install that
software - so I went ahead and tried to install -so-OK it
serves me right!!Perhaps it is only a 'little' error though
and one of you experts out there can tell me which button
to press and all will be repaired ?

This is a Windows 2000 group. You may wish to try asking in the
WindowsXP group as they may be familiar with your problem.
