Did you try rebooting your computer and trying again?

Then try getting to the site via the following link:

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

Let us know if that works.

I am trying to access Windowsupdate.com using Internet
Explorer. I have previously been able to do this without
any problem. Now I am being redirected to this page
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/thanks.asp

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks.

Jim,

I rebooted the computer and tried the link you posted, but
that still redirects me to the same page.

See if these might help / apply:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;234272

http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/Q230/0/54.ASP&NoWebContent=1

The second link might break up so be careful. And one last link:

Download the appropriate file, and try to install it:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-048.mspx

If you have any problems or questions please post the question
back to the newsgroup here.
