Usually when someone offers an opinion, they don't preface it with,
"... pick up on these points."

Where did you get that idea from?
No Gerry. Enabling the network adapter isn't the "wrong direction". I
will suggest to clients or in newsgroups to boot into SM w/N and
download a malware program or something that may be needed off the
internet.

That's advice given in a different situation!
"... your point is academic until it does start." is knocking his
suggestion.

So fair comment is not allowed in your Utopia!
The point being that Windows is not loading is basically non-starting,
to the point where your suggestion of telling them to disable AR was
useless.

You do not know at what point the boot process is failing so you fail to
score with this criticism!
Which shows you didn't even check the link. So you criticized without
knowledge, which in turn makes YOU totally wrong.

Ah you make false assumptions as you did with your post criticising James
Watkins!
I wasn't talking about Himanshu's suggestions.

The whole of these exchanges is about Himanshu's suggestions!
I was directly
commenting to YOUR suggestions. You cannot disable AR from a computer
that won't boot into Windows either. Do you have a magic formula for
doing this?

Yes using the F8 key. Didn't you know it is one of the options on the Boot
menu.

Himanshu suggested booting using SM w/N and you said it was wrong. IF
the computer would boot and they followed Himanshu's suggestions, they
WOULD be able to access the internet. But either are incorrect since
Windows will not load.

Incorrect. The process fail to complete in normal mode. We do not know
whether all options fail. That is what I was trying to confirm with my
original post to l-p.
So you should apologize to Himanshu.

What for? All I have posted is fair comment, not personal abuse.

snipped -off topic!

I have no experience with Bart PE but something like that might work. We
need more information.

It's not an "idea". Your comment makes it sound like "I'm giving you
some tips. Listen up."

That's advice given in a different situation!

You need to read what I'm saying before responding. You specifically
said that using SM w/N is "A MOVE IN THE WRONG DIRECTION". It's not at
all.
So fair comment is not allowed in your Utopia!

You criticized a wrong comment, but defend your own wrong comment. Who
is not allowing "fair comment"?

You do not know at what point the boot process is failing so you fail to
score with this criticism!

Maybe you should re-read the OP. If you can't reach a Windows Desktop,
it doesn't matter "at what point the boot process is failing". Stop
trying to defend your suggestion of disabling AR, since it can't be done
in light of the OP's situation!

Ah you make false assumptions as you did with your post criticising James
Watkins!

No, I made no false assumption. You state above, "To web pages not to
executable files!" The link that was given WAS to a web page and NOT an
executable file (at least using Firefox). James made a similar statement.
The whole of these exchanges is about Himanshu's suggestions!

Not mine. I said to you on your first reply that the OP can't disable
AR since they can't reach a Windows Desktop. Long before Himanshu
responded. Exactly as I said in the line below.

Amazing. You say using SM w/N is a wrong move to Himanshu. You say you
can't execute a file online without internet access (that SM w/N
provides). Any yet you defend your comment to disable Automatic Restart
by using Safe Mode.

If you read my first response to the OP, I suggested using the Safe Mode
Command Prompt. Didn't YOU know that's one of the options?
Incorrect. The process fail to complete in normal mode. We do not know
whether all options fail. That is what I was trying to confirm with my
original post to l-p.

Your original post gave incorrect info. Read it again and tell me where
this option is under the Windows Advanced Options menu:

"Keep pressing the F8 key during Start-Up and select option - Disable
automatic restart on system failure."

What for? All I have posted is fair comment, not personal abuse.

Yeah, snip it away. You're just being stubborn. I have offered two
different ways for you to top post correctly, one using OE that you
currently use with QuoteFix, and another using a news reader that top
posts properly (Thunderbird). You basically are saying "screw you" to
all new posters and those without newsgroup experience by your refusal
to keep proper post content intact. And yet you want to offer support.
I don't get it.

To what?

Resort to name calling when you can't answer the questions? There's a
real man for you. Don't run for any public office anytime soon!

As a last thought, in the future, at least remove ONE dash from the
delimiter above your name, or the space after the two dashes. That's
all! Then news readers won't wipe out text like what happened in my
reply here.

I hope you're better and more productive at to!

Notice there was no problem with the delimiter in YOUR sig here.

Highlight what you want to reply to before replying, and it should
work just as this reply did (using Agent)

MS newsreaders work differently. Agent works like Thunderbird (or vice
versa). For a seasoned support giver, it's better to have them
correctly post than expect someone to "fix" what a broken mail client
did, which is insert a delimiter when replying at the top. It's the top
replying and delimiter I was trying to get Gerry to change, not just a
delimiter. And only MS clients do it (and the web interface).

Sigs are SUPPOSED to be removed by news readers, to remove what isn't
needed as part of the thread. MS clients insert a delimiter when top
posting (which neither Thunderbird nor Agent do, nor does any proper
newsreader) and MS clients ignore the delimiter when replying (which
neither Thunderbird nor Agent do, nor does any proper newsreader).
