Windows XP won't boot

Could anybody help me please. I have a Toshiba Satellite A100 laptop which I
was trying to do a clean up of the C drive. The laptop went to reboot itself
and now just gives me the option of either selecting F2 or F12 and then just
keeps rebooting over and over again.

It doesn't even boot in safe mode in which I could access the MS DOS windows
to try fix the problem. Could somebody please help me!

I'll be frank: Time for you to show your computer to a professional.

No one has any idea what you did to your computer or what "clean up of
the C drive" means. And there is no such thing as "MS DOS windows." The
last version of Windows built on DOS was Windows ME. Have the computer
professionally repaired before you get yourself into more trouble.

Hi,
I faced same scenario not long a go, try to press F12 and F8 together to get
to the Boot up menu, from there select the internal Hard drive and see if you
can boot up. If you can then try to restore your system and see if that will
help gain consistency of the Boot up and the operating system.

I think you may deleted a file belong to the BIOS!

Failing the above try Last Good known Config that worked or failing that
try to repair the operating system or as Leo mentioned it is time for a Local
pro to look at it or it is time for a new machine for a new year!!!

You made this same post 24 hours ago to another newsgroup. Have you
looked at those responses?

In the future, please refrain from multi-posting, which results in
duplication of effort, confusion, and responses not seen by everybody.
If you must choose more than one group to post your question to, you
shold cross-post instead:

Hi to the group,& a happy new year
I have a similar laptop as Sandee, mine is the A200.
You don;t say what Recovery disks you have. Mine came with a DVD ram Disk.
The options that you mention F2 or f12 give you the BIOS, or F12 another way
to load from
the Ram Disk . I was wondering if your's would be the same. What happens is
choosing the
Ram Disk ,it unpacks the data to the hard drive, similar to Zip or Crypted
Files
