*Technically, FP98 is not designed to work on WinXP.
FP 98 requires a personal web server to operate.
You can do a custom install of FP 98 and do *not* allow the personal
web
server to install, as it is not supported on WinXP.
Thus, you will need to operate with Disk based webs on your local
pc.
If you have WinXP Pro, it comes with IIS web server, which you can
try and
install to see if it will work with FP 98, and use server based webs
on your
pc.
In any case, proceed at your own risk. You are likely to run into
problems
with FP98 on WinXP.

I have a new computer running Windows XP, but prefer my old FP 98 to the
new FP2003. Is there any reason I can't use FP98 on my new computer? I
publish to an off-site server that has FP server extensions installed
for my website, so the only glitch I see might be with my operating
system. Has anyone tried this successfully? Thanks.
