Windows XP Wireless Network

Unable to make the internet connection between the wireless laptop with Windows XP through the Linksys wireless system on the desktop using an AOL DSL broadband connection. The desdtop connection if fine. The wireless signal reads connecting on laptop.
However, when trying to startup AOL, the error reads:
step1: Looking for AOL via TCP/IP

Then the error message reads unable to connect to AOL service.

I have tried reloading AOL and looking for the wireless automatically. I have changed the settings on Windows XP and have had no luck. AOL could not resolve the problen nor did Lynksys have any solutions. Asking for some expert newsgroup help.

I am having the same problems at my work. There are two
computers connected to the wireless network that normally
work fine but lately are having problems. It is the same
setup with a linksys wireless router. It says that the
connection strength is very good and it sends and
receives packets and all the ip address information and
stuff is detected okay. But when trying to connect to
the network or browse, it won't connect. If someone
could help, it would be appreciated.
