Windows XP will not start

Allan

I am stuck with XP not starting, it brings me to a menu telling me Windows
did not start sucessfully.

It gives me a list of choices, from last known good configuration to start
Windows normally. Whichever option I choose is the same, Windows will attempt
to start for 2 seconds and then its back to the menu.

This is due to me not powering my notebook when I turned it on. Please help.

Hi Allan,
Try the Check disk command first then you can try the Repair install if the
first didn't resolve your issue!.

Hi Nass,

I can't get to command prompt. So I can't do a check disk. Please advise.
Thanks again.

I tried pressing F8 and then choosing command prompt. I cannot get into DOS,
safe mode, anything at all, the notebook just keeps trying to boot for 3
seconds and then goes back to Menu.
