Windows XP WGA Purchase Program CD-KEY

James

Hi,

I purchased Windows XP Professional a few weeks back through the online WGA
Purchase Tool. Basically, I found out I had a non-legit copy of windows, and
when I went to update, it said would I like to purchase a new Legit CD Key.
So I said yes, and purchased everything and wrote down the key for later use.
I recieved the Windows Genunie Advantage Kit for Windows XP Professional
yesterday and decided to do a new clean install of the OS with the CD that
came with the kit.

To my surprise, the key I originally wrote down when I purchased the XP
license online did not work with the new installation. Maybe I wrote it down
wrong? But inside my Kit was no license keys or phone numbers to call if I
had problems installing.

I figured if there was a number to call I could just read off some of the
numbers on the bar codes on the Microsoft Certificate of Authenticity but
absolutely no support numbers... :-(

What do i do now?

Start here:

There is a lot of info about it, including live chat, email, telephone
numbers, etc.

Hi James,

it is important that you use for change the Key a tool from Microsoft. The
Tool you can find in the internet or download it from microsoft.com.
(http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/XPPkuinst.aspx) The programm check
some important files and change the key. all work fine!

If the WGA-Check fails it can be possible that some files are corrupt.

nice day ~ Florian

Sorry for my bad english!
