Hi, I had a problem earlier today where I has two "You have new email"
envelopes showing on the right side of my taskbar. I clicked on one, and
selected "hide" and opened my new email (which closed the other). Now, I
can't get the new mail notification back. When I go into the "Customize
Notifications" screen for my taskbar, it shows up as a "Past Item", and there
seems to be no way to drag it into the "Current Items".

Can anyone help?

See if clearing the past items helps:

That information worked fine for clearing the past items, now I've only got
current items. How do I get the email notification to show up there?

Actually, clearing the taskbar allowed me to reinstate the envelope out of
Outlook. I'm all set. Thanks.

I'm not getting my outlook notification any more either but don't understand
the steps to clear past items from the notification area...
