Windows XP Setup on NTFS Volume

Hi,

I'm booting my Computer with a Windows PE CD. I created
and formated a primay partition on hard disk 0 (The only
one in this system) in NTFS. When I try to run Windows
2000 or Windows XP Setup from a Distribution Share I got
the following Error Message: "Setup is unable to find a
valid system disk. Setup cannot continue" I tried to start
the Setup with winnt32.exe.

May somebody help me?

Thanks
Dennis

Is it a raid HD? if so you need to put the drivers onto a
floppy, and when you run the setup on the cd, hit F6(i
think) to install 3rd party drivers.
Hope that helps? I had a similiar problem, and that was
the reason my hd wasnt detected on the install.

John.

No the HD is connected to a intel pata controller based
on the i865 chipset. After rebooting pe the setup is able
to run without any other changes...
