windows xp setup crashes

i have a soni vaio pcg-tr2f with windows xp home
installed from factory, i am trying to upgrade to windows
xp pro, but setup crashes an reboots the install
opperation at "installing devices" step, showing a blue
screen barely visible with this
legend "driver_power_satate_failure".

what can i do to upgrade the operative system?

can any one help me?

yes i did!, it was norton internet security, even
uninstalled live update and live reg
