Windows XP Services?

Is there a list on the web of which services come installed on Win XP Pro,
before one has installed other applications, as well as their default
startup status (automatic, manual, disabled)? (Perhaps the list would have
to be different for SP1 and SP2, I don't know.) Also, a detailed description
of what each service does, and whether it is necessary for all users to keep
that service running at all times, or perhaps (for some services) only for
users who use a particular feature, etc.?

Thanks for the detailed list of sites. I'll take a look at them.

Why not just turn on your computer, open services window, dont touch it for
20 minutes. Then every service that shows as started, set to automatic.
Then would you not boot a smidgen faster because there's no need for the
automaticly set services to query things.

Geez, I recently built Pro on a 733 Mhz 256MB box and there was no
reason at all to start shutting down any of the default services for
performance reasons.

Why do you want to shut down services? To save resources? For security?
