I have WinXP SP2 problems. Here is summary of what I observed:
1. Starts slowly due to service startup errors
2. Event log shows some application errors, but I am unable to view the
details/properties of any events. I see Userenv and Application event
errors.
3. If I attempt to start a service, that should have started -(Remote
Procedure Call), I get error 1069. I am unable to view the properties
for any service. Clicking the properties menu does nothing.
4. Other services fail with error 1068 since most dependent service are
failing also.
5. Start menu and task bar are missing.
I know error 1069 is uinable to logon, but I did not change my login
information. Since I cannot view service properties, I cannot even try
to have it try to login as different user.
Since services propbablt try to login to local computer, is it safe to
reset the password for the true Administrator account? I never login
as that user.
Thanks in advance.
