I know that in windows update, there are security updates
and critical fixes released after SP1, and some are
labelled SP2. I was just wondering when, approximately
Service Pack 2 for Windows XP would be released in it's
entirety? I customize computers and make sure they are
up to date, but it is so difficult to have to download
55MB of updates over most of my customers 56K
lines...over and over I do this... SP2, When???

Thanks so much.

I believe it is third quarter of next year. Could be sooner or later.
Probably later.
Hopefully it will not be released until it is ready.

Why don't you download what you need from the Windows Update Catalog and
burn them to a CD? I have done this and it saves a great amount of time.

Not that that's made any difference before, heh.

Download the ones you need here and burn them to a CD. It'll take a lot
or work to get them organized and stored in a workable folder because some
of them are buried pretty deep within their folders. I saved the updates and their
"read me" in separate folders, then burned the CD. You'll have to read all
of the technical details to decide which ones are required and which ones
are not...BIG JOB!
