Hello Everyone,
I'm currently investigating the feasibility of a mobile security agent which
will be deployed to wireless systems. I know that it's possible to deploy a
mobile agent onto the device as long as it's already got preinstalled
software running on it (usually some form of security kernel). To make this
proposal truly effective and available to all devices it would need to
harness the automatic scanning/update facility inherent in all windows XP
operating systems.
Now, the crux of the matter is this: Does anybody know is Microsoft has
developed an API or any other sort of interface which would allow me to
automatically start or harness the built in facilities of the windows XP/2k
security update service?
Thanks for your time in this matter,
- Jamie Graves
