Windows XP Security and AOL.

Hey Everyone,
I hope you can help me. I just had to reformat my computer, and I have
AOL's safety and security center. I installed that before I installed SP2
and everything was fine. Then I went to install SP2 and it added the windows
security center, it shows that I do not have any antivirus or firewall noted.
Before, I reformatted my computer and had AOL, it did show that AOL was the
antivirus and firewall, not it is showing that I have nothing at all. Is
there some way that I can go in there and let it know that AOL is not
protecting my computer instead of Windows? I already checked the box to turn
off the security, but that did not work. I really need some help. If any of
you out there has expierenced this before, please email me back at
(e-mail address removed). I would really appreciate any comments or suggestions
you could give me.

Hopefully someone else has a definitive answer but it may be worthwhile to
uninstall AOL's safety and security center and then installing it again to
see if that helps or contact AOL or check their website for support on their
AOL's safety and security center. FYI I don't think too much of their AOL's
safety and security center. My sister was having problems with her computer
and AdAware SE found a lot of stuff [not just cookies] that their program
did not detect. There are also fee antivirus programs such as the one from
AVG at this link http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 . If you have not seen the
link below it may be of help and if you want you can use services.msc and
set the service for security center to disabled and stop it to prevent it
from giving you any more alerts for anything if you are comfortable with
that. --- Steve
